Conway County Regional Water (CCRWDD) is asking
customers to voluntarily curtail water usage due to ongoing dry conditions
following an unusually dry winter and spring. The lack of rainfall has led to
declining water levels at Brewer Lake, the community’s water source. With water
supply not being replenished at typical seasonal levels, CCRWDD is encouraging
all residential and commercial customers to reduce non-essential water use to
help preserve available resources.
Customers
can help conserve water by taking the following steps:
•
Avoid washing vehicles at home
•
Refrain from watering or sprinkling lawns
•
Limit outdoor water use whenever possible
•
Fix leaks and dripping faucets promptly
•
Run dishwashers and washing machines only with full loads
CCRWDD
will continue to monitor water supply conditions closely and will provide
updates as needed. If conditions worsen, additional conservation measures may
be required.
